The schedule you received was developed around the availability sheet submitted by you.  Availability sheets received by December 31st, 2008 got the first assignments.

All umpires must call the school and confirm with ONLY the athletic director or his secretary that you will work his / her game that day.  Speak only with one of these people RAIN OR SHINE.  All called must be between 2:05 p. m. and 3:15 p.m. the day of the game.  Saturday games must be confirmed on Fridays.  DO NOT CALL BEFORE 2:05 p.m. because final bus plans for teams are being made at that time.  When calling, identify yourself and what game you have, then VERIFY THE TIME, PLACE, AND FIELD LOCATION.  We won’t track you down, and if a game is missed, it is a full game fee fine.  Saturdays you can check with me.  During Spring Break, check with me, not the school.

PLEASE DO NOT CALL ME BETWEEN 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. OR AFTER 10:00 p.m.

After rainouts, call 847-934-9099, as new games will be available, first come, first serve.
ONE MAJOR REQUEST: BE TWENTY (20) MINUTES EARLY TO ALL GAMES!

NO CANCELLATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FORTY-EIGHT (48) HOURS IN ADVANCE OF A GAME.

Highland Park plays their games at Wolters Field - 1080 Park Ave, Highland Park

Waukegan Home Games - You must call AD's office to verify field locations the day of the game.

Turn on cell phone at 2:00 p.m. every day.

IF AT ANY TIME YOU REPORT TO A GAME SITE AND NO TEAMS ARE VISIBLE OR THERE IS CONFUSION, CALL ME BEFORE GOING HOME (847-934-9099).

VARSITY UMPIRES: You must call your partner the night before the game to determine who is working the plate and where to meet.  A matching blue shirt and gray pants are a MUST for all umpires.

Verify all start times with the school.  There could be changes from what is on your schedule.
